The Company:

Hokkaido Tracks has been proudly offering holiday rental, real estate, project management and property management services in Niseko for over 15 years. In winter, we take on a small team of seasonal staff to work closely with our permanent staff to provide superior customer service. Understanding our seasonal employees also want to balance work with time to enjoy the snow, we offer competitive conditions and time on the mountain.

The Position:

Our Front Desk staff are the first people to greet many of our customers, and are therefore integral in building a friendly, professional and competent initial impression of Hokkaido Tracks. The position also organises much of the day-to-day operations for our Resort Hosts who provide support to our holiday guests. Regular tasks include:

  • Communicating directly with guests by phone, email and face to face.
  • Organizing guest services (lift tickets, ski school, airport transfers, restaurant reservations, etc).
  • Collating and filing paperwork such as check in documents.
  • Running through daily checklists to ensure everything is completed and organized.
  • Occasionally taking cash and credit card payments, reporting funds received/spent.
  • Though this is primarily an office job, there will be times when Front Desk staff are required to assist with shuttle driving, check in/out, deliveries, etc.

The Candidate

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Valid work visa or be a Japanese resident
  • International or Japanese Driver’s license
  • Native English skills or business-level English as a second language
  • Customer service experience
  • Japanese or Chinese language skills are an advantage but not required


  • Working hours: Usually 30 hours/week
  • Short employment: Mid November – late February
  • Full season: Mid November – April


  • Pay: 1,200 yen/hour
  • Hirafu lift pass

  • 日本で働けるビザ保持者
  • 日本またはインターナショナル運転免許保持者
  • ネィティブ英語もしくはビジネス英語がしゃべれる方(尚可)
  • カスタマーサービス経験者
  • 日本語もしくは中国語が喋れば尚可(必須ではありません)


  • 勤務時間 :約週30時間
  • 短期シーズナル雇用 :11月半ば - 2月末
  • 長期シーズナル雇用 :11月半ば -4月


  • 時給1,200円(日本人でビジネス英語を喋れる方または外国人で日本語がビジネスレベルの方:時給1,300円)
